Psoriasis affects approximately 4% of the population and is very present in Northern Europe, while it is completely absent in other parts of the world.
Psoriasis manifests itself with the appearance of red, pink or brown patches with silver outlines , concentrated mainly on the elbows, knees and scalp . Cell growth in people suffering from psoriasis can be up to ten times higher than normal and is the cause of the scales present on the spots . In older age , swelling may occur in the joint areas and, in 25% of patients, psoriatic arthritis also appears , which affects the small joints of the hands, legs and spine.

A new drug from Paris
In 2018, during the 27th Congress of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology in Paris, a study by Report PsoClear was presented which delves into the effectiveness of the drug B rodalumab , which seems to guarantee a high probability of recovery in cases of psoriasis vulgaris, even in the presence of moderate or severe skin rash.
The report analyzed two previous studies and a sample of over 4,300 patients and according to the data collected, those who were treated with brodalumab achieved a clear improvement after 15 days of therapy. The skin of 75% of patients was completely free from lesions and signs of the disease after 52 weeks of treatment. Brodalumab has also been on sale in Italy since 27 January. This is not a CBD-based drug, but a biological preparation capable of acting directly on the receptors that cause inflammation, just like CBD.
